Here’s how to put one together for use with your afternoon tea. This is Italian food. This is called “Focaccia”. Some people in Italy say that potatoes are also added to the focaccia when making foci. Olive oil and rosemary are the things that make it difficult for you to find. Olive oil is available in supermarkets. Rosemary is not essential for making foci. OK! Let’s see how to make this focaccia.
Ingredients:
- A teaspoon of white sugar
- Two teaspoons of olive oil (olive oil) and more olive oil to take when needed
- 0.25 ounces of dry yeast (about 7g)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/3 cup of well-boiled hot water
- 2 Rosemary twigs (Rosemary)
How to Make:
First, take a small saucepan, add hot water, sugar and yeast, and set aside for about 10 minutes. If you feel like it’s sticky until it’s melted, take a spoon and melt it until it’s like a good cream. Hee hee .. 🙂
Then take a large bowl, add some flour and mix well with the yeast and sugar mixture that we mixed earlier. If you feel that the water quality is not enough to mix, add some more water. But a cup of water is not enough! Add one tablespoon at a time.
Now you need to knead this flour mixture well. That means we should not have to roll our hands when kneading the dough. That’s when we know we’re in good shape.
When we have finished kneading the dough, now take some olive oil and knead it well around the future dough. Then take a small damp cloth and cover the dough. After covering with a cloth, the dough should be left for about 30 minutes. Then the dough will crack.
Keep in mind that the oven should be heated during this time. Preheat the oven to 475 ° F / 245 C. The oven should be heated to the same temperature until we finally put the “Focasia” we are making in the oven and bake. Therefore, do not turn off the oven at any time by saying “it is hot” ..!
In 30 minutes, the dough has doubled in size. Now place the dough on a sheet of oil and thin it to a thickness you like. Once thinned, knead the dough with your fingers. Stick deeper. Fingers dug like this are what look like holes in the top of the “foci”.
Then rub a little olive oil on top again. Add rosemary and as much salt as you like and place in a preheated oven.
Leave it in the oven for 10 to 20 minutes until the fascia is baked. Keep in mind that if you want to eat “Focasia” in a gentle way, remove the “Focasia” from the oven in 10 minutes. Or take it out of the oven after 20 minutes in a dry, crispy way.
that is all! So we’re done making our delicious faශade. You can make a good cup of tea and taste this focaccia.
Important:
You can buy olive oil from supermarkets.
Rosemary is a bit rare to find. You might even find rosemary in a supermarket. But the same cannot be said for sure.
