Now I’m going to teach you how to make a butter sponge cake. You can use this cake for birthday cakes. If you can sandwich the cake using something like buttercream and make this cake in several layers, you can add more flavour. Let’s see how this butter sponge cake is made.
- 10 eggs
- 350g of sugar
- 350g of flour
- 2 Teaspoons of vanilla
- 3 Tablespoons of melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
How to Make:
Separate the egg whites and yolks. Beat until slightly browned. Add a little sugar to it and continue beating. Once well beaten, add the yolks one by one and beat.
Add flour and baking powder and whisk three times. Mix it alternately with the butter in the first mixture and finally add the flour.
Now add vanilla to it. Place the buttered greaseproof paper on a 10×10 inch tray. Add the cake mixture and bake at 150 C (300 F) for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, scrape off an even piece / toothpick and check that the cake is baked (if the toothpick is clean, the cake is baked).
