There are many ways to make a burrito. Today we bring you a simple burrito recipe that can be easily made from everyday household items. It has the freedom to add as many meats, vegetables, mayonnaise and cheese as you like. Also, these burritos are great for small children as they contain rice, chicken and cowpea and no flavourings or sauces use in this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 4 Tortilla
- 100 g of chicken (minced)
- 1/4 cup of rice (well washed and filtered)
- 1/4 cup of cowpea (use well-boiled or canned cowpea)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Bell Peppers Cup 1/4 (chopped)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 1/4 cup of onion leaf (chopped)
- 1/2 Water Cup
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Half a teaspoon of pepper powder
- Half teaspoon of chilli powder
- 2 Tablespoons of butter
How to Make: Let’s first create an input filling:
Put a saucepan on the stove, add butter and let it melt.
After adding onion and bell peppers and cook for about a minute.
Add salt, pepper and chilli powder, stir well with a spoon and cook for another minute.
Then add chicken and mix well.
Add the chicken and stir well and let it fry for a minute.
Add rice to it and mix well with the chicken mixture.
And add water, close the lid and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes until the rice is cooked.
Once the rice is well cooked, open the lid, add the cowpeas and remove from the heat.
Now let’s make a burrito:
Place a pre-made tortilla on a plate.
Put the filling in the middle and place the onion leaves on top.
Roll the tortillas in the middle of the filling.
Make the other 3 burritos in the same way.
game over. Now it’s time to present. Serve the prepared burrito hot. This delicious burrito can be eaten with or without tomato sauce, chilli sauce, hot sauce or any other sauce you like, such as salsa or Mexican pickles.
